UpRising’s newest programme Making Change Happen launches this May, in East London, thanks to the kind support of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers.
The programme is specifically tailored for individuals who are enthusiastic about boosting their leadership abilities, gaining skills that are transferable to the workplace and driving positive change within their local community.
In the run up to our first cohort we are looking for volunteers to help out at our final careers and employability event at the end of the programme which will take place, in person, on Friday 7th June, 12-4 pm approx at The University of Sunderland in London campus (nearest station is South Quay on the DLR).
We are looking for professionals who are able to:
- Conduct a 1 to 1 mock interview with a participant
- Review a CV and offer 1 to 1 feedback on any improvements that are needed
- Take part in a range of careers panels and networking events on the day
Resources and a full briefing will be provided to support volunteers in the above activities.
How to Get Involved
If you are interested in signing up to support participants on the Making Change Happen programme please drop rukaiya.jeraj@uprising.org.uk an email by Friday 29th March. If you can’t join us this time, don’t worry - we’ll be running this programme several times a year over the next three years, so please keep checking this page for further updates and announcements.
After you have expressed your interest in supporting the programme, we will then be in touch to provide further information, resources, and the opportunity to join a Q&A session in April, in case you have any further questions!
